Brizait Gonzalez Rivera is a first-generation Latina from Detroit, Michigan. She is a strong-minded, determined, and passionate leader, currently serving as the president of Academic Games at her high school and as a member of the Latinx Youth Council in her city. In her community, she works to secure improved funding for education, the end of gang violence, and enhancing youth leadership skills. As a member of CHCI NextGen, Brizait has had the opportunity to refine her understanding of public policy, which aligns with her future aspirations, and be able to network with other like-minded peers. She looks forward to giving back to her community and making lasting contributions in her career, representing and advocating for her fellow Latinos.
