Caleb Lopez Ruiz

Caleb Lopez Ruiz is the only child of two proud Mexican parents raised in Albany, New York. He takes action by being a memeber of the local Youth Court, helping first offenders acknoledge their mistakes, and participating in the Mexican community to spread Mexican culture and never forget his roots. He helps his school’s student government and Russian club setting up school events and helped organized 247.8 pounds of food for his local food bank. With his ability to speak Spanish, he is able to help new students feel welcome at school. He is a great critical strategist in his school and RPI’s high school robotics team meetings, happily conversing and exchanging ideas. He applied to CHCI NextGen to learn more about leadership to help in his own community. By participating in CHCI NextGen, he learned the neccesary skills to better himself and his surrounding wherever he goes.
