Caleb Lopez Ruiz

Caleb Lopez Ruiz is the only child of two proud Mexican parents raised in Albany, New York. He takes action by being a member of the local Youth Court, helping first offenders acknowledge their mistakes, and participating in the Mexican community to spread Mexican culture, never forgetting his roots. He helps his school’s student government and Russian club by setting up school events and helped organize 247.8 pounds of food for his local food bank. With his ability to speak Spanish, Caleb is able to help new students feel welcome at school. He is a great critical strategist in his school and RPI’s high school robotics team meetings, happily conversing and exchanging ideas. Caleb applied to CHCI NextGen to learn more about leadership to help in his own community. By participating in CHCI NextGen, he learned the necessary skills to better himself and his surrounding wherever he goes.
