2025 Latino Hill Staff Academy
Daniela Guerrero Diaz

Daniela Guerrero Diaz was born and raised in Venezuela, and like millions of Venezuelans, had to flee the country to escape violence and food scarcity. Forced to move to New York when she was 17, she decided to pursue a career in politics to make a tangible difference for her community in the U.S. and abroad.
Daniela is a proud CUNY City College graduate, holding a Bachelor’s in Political Science and Psychology. Her professional experience on the hill started with an internship at Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s office. Now she serves as a Legislative Assistant, covering a wide portfolio with a specialty in civil society and democracy. In this role, Daniela leads efforts to fight against dark money in politics, has helped shape the office by building out the correspondence program, and has led the team work in climate/energy.
