Elizabeth Cortes is a Colombian-American student living in Miami, Florida. Currently she conducts research on glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer, which she hopes to continue studying in college. Additionally, she improves her community and lead the next generation of leaders by managing 14 community service clubs in her role as a Lieutenant Governor of Key Club. Elizabeth plans to become a neurosurgeon, using her platform and voice to advocate for more awareness about the healthcare system to minorities.
