Harrison Millán, a third-generation Puerto Rican, is interested in research-informed economic and public policies to support the Latino and foster care communities. Harrison has completed research on anonymity in economic behavior and is currently researching belonging needs at the Interpersonal Motivations and Perceptions Lab at SUNY Purchase. He is the leader of the Hispanic and Latino Cultural Club and an active member of the Students of Color Club at his school. He also supports foster children like his sister through advocacy on the Youth Empowerment Council for Change and volunteering at the Children’s Village. Harrison aspires to support policymakers in developing legislation to reflect the growing mosaic of Latino familias.
