Ixzetl Arizmendi

Hometown: Caldwell, Idaho

School: Caldwell High School

Ixzetl Arizmendi is the proud daughter of Mexican immigrants, Gabriel Arizmendi and Refugio Cervantes. Ixzetl currently serves as her school’s ASB Historian and a mentor for this year’s 8th annual Young Women In Leadership Conference planning committee. She is a proud member of TRIO Upward Bound and believes there should be more accessibility to programs like TRIO that support first-generation, low-income students in their journey of pursuing higher education. In her free time, she enjoys doing community service tutoring young children. Ixzetl’s passion for advocating for immigrants and children of immigrants is deeply rooted in her hometown of Caldwell, Idaho, where she has spent her entire life surrounded by the Hispanic community. She envisions a future studying international relations or immigration law. Her participation in CHCI NextGen has only deepened her commitment to giving back to the Hispanic community and breaking barriers for future generations.
