Jada Arredondo

Hometown: Euless, Texas

School: Irving High School

Jada Arredondo is the youngest daughter to a Mexican immigrant mother. Having raised her alone, the hardships of food and home insecurity hit often throughout her life, but never did it disrupt her ambition and commitment to her education. Knowing that she would be a first generation student, it was up to her to make her mom proud. Having found her passion for public speaking and policy through many leadership positions at school and programs such as CHCI NextGen, she knew she was getting closer to “the room where it happens.” The adrenaline that she felt at in the Capitol fueled the idea that she does in fact belong there and will change the narrative about what she stands for by giving it a Latina stronghold.
