Jammie Jimenez is a proud Mexican-American born and raised in Northeast Los Angeles. She comes from a family of strong independent women who taught her the importance of using her voice. It helped her in regards to making a change for her community, though she has found that it’s hard for her voice to be heard. CHCI NextGen has shown her the significance of being a leader as it relates to making positive changes in her community. It has also given her more inspiration to become a better leader and advocate, to bring awareness of issues that are affecting lower income communities.
