Katherine Quintanilla is a proud Salvadoreña born in Hot Springs, Arkansas and raised in a small rural town called Nashville, Arkansas. Being from a small town has not diminished her passions by any means. Katherine moved out at 15 to attend the top public high school in Arkansas to pursue a career in law and politics. She is a hard-working daughter of immigrants that has paved a path for herself in the world of politics. Katherine is a driven, independent leader who served as a United States Senate Page appointed by Senator Boozman. She is making a name for herself as a Latina leader as well by being the founder and president of her humanitarian club called the Syrian Emergency Task Force. Katherine’s resilience has made her equipped to face the world head on. She plans to major in political science and psychology and can’t wait to return to Capitol Hill. Her experience with CHCI NextGen showed her that Latinos do have a place in politics and on Capitol Hill and that with hard work, all Latinos can make their community and family proud.
