Lizette Orozco had the opportunity to participate in CHCI NextGen, an experience that profoundly impacted her life. Through this program, she learned valuable leadership skills and stepped out of her comfort zone. Initially, Lizette was apprehensive about participating due to English being her second language and having never traveled alone to another state before. Despite these fears, she was determined to overcome her challenges and embrace the opportunity. Her experience in CHCI NextGen was transformative, revealing to her the extent of her own potential. She had the chance to engage with members of Congress and realized her ability to effect change and address issues within her community. This eye-opening journey not only bolstered her self-confidence but also ignited a passion for making a difference.
