Lorenzo Menéndez Vega was born on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. Throughout his life, he has strived towards becoming someone people are able to look up to. He wishes to be the ideal example of a leader to others and make an impact in his community. To begin reaching that goal, he has devoted himself to contributing to social groups that surround him, starting with his school, where he is the vice president of the National Honor Society. In the time he spent in CHCI NextGen, he connected with other Latino students who came from vastly different backgrounds and held distinct ideas of what leadership meant to them. It was through these experiences that he realized leadership was more than just a title or a role, it was a way of bringing people together.
