Lupita Delgado was born and raised in the city of Chicago along with her older sister and brother, but her parents are from Guerrero, Mexico. She has worked with several organizations throughout high school, including Palenque LSNA. Lupita is a youth representative on the Board of Directors at this organization. Her work within LSNA has been to support campaigns like Bring Chicago Home, Treatment Not Trauma, and the Northwest Preservation Ordinance through canvassing, door-knocking, speaking at City Council, and leading workshops. These campaigns advocate for policy changes in Chicago. Additionally, she was a youth grantmaker at the Wayfarer Foundation. At her high school, she is the Co-Vice President of the Mariachi Campeones Club and the Latin American Student Association (LASA). Due to her work and extracurriculars, Lupita is interested in pursuing Public Policy, Psychology, or Latinx Studies in College.
