Princess Leon is a dedicated and proud first-generation student at Theodore Roosevelt High School in Boyle Heights. She is part of the Law and Public Service Magnet, where she is President of their leadership club and portrays the role of an attorney in their Mock Trial team. Princess strives to make changes in her community and volunteers at the Salesian Family Youth Center. She applied to CHCI NextGen because she wanted to receive insight on how to become a leader and be able to accomplish her goal of providing more legal aid to low-income communities. In the future, Princess hopes to graduate college and obtain her Juris Doctor Degree to pursue a career as a lawyer, to further fulfill her goal and raise awareness concerning the legal rights of low-income community families, since she has witnessed many families struggle due to the lack of resources regarding legal aid.
