Sinai Barrera is a first generation Mexican-American who proudly embraces her roots. She is highly active in her community by advocating for various sustainable practices. She and her team have earned several thousands dollars to nurture their school garden and teach about environmental issues. In the near future, she plans on attending college to earn a business and ecological degree. Sinai is forever grateful to CHCI Nextgen for empowering many young latino leaders through their workshops, resources, and supportive community.
