Being raised by an immigrant father and a Mexican American mother, Valentina has a unique perspective filled with beautiful Mexican culture and the contrast of living in a majority caucasian neighborhood. As President of the Spanish club, she coordinated an international exchange program with kids from Colombia. The club was responsible for providing housing, food, and out of school activities. Her teachers nominated her to the student advisory where 20 students represent 2500 students. They meet with school administrators to improve the student experience by focusing on inclusivity and equity.
