Valeria Gaytan

Valeria Gaytan was born in Oakland, California, and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. She serves as Scheduler, managing a daily schedule and supporting legislative priorities. Previously, she worked for Congressman Ami Bera as a Foreign Affairs Intern, assisting with his work as Ranking Member of the Indo-Pacific Subcommittee. Valeria is an alumna of the University of Nebraska Omaha, where she earned a bachelor’s in Political Science and a master’s in International Affairs. She is also a NextGen Fellow with Foreign Policy for America, where she engages in discussions focused on U.S. foreign policy. The oldest of three sisters, Valeria’s parents split their time between Mexico and Omaha, Nebraska. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, running, playing tennis, and exploring new foods.
