Ximena Torres is a first generation Mexican American student from Chicago, IL. She was born and raised in Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood and she currently attends Little Village’s Farragut Career Academy, both of which have contributed to her lifelong passion of giving back to her community. She routinely engages in youth leadership roles within her community, including Student Voice Committee, National Honor Society, and Local School Council. She hopes to become an immigration lawyer and contribute to the development of her community. Ximena’s experience in CHCI NextGen helped improve her leadership skills and her abilities to improve her communities.
