Maria Martinez Contreras

Maria Martinez Contreras is the Strategic Events Associate Manager at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI). In her role, she manages sponsor relationships and supports the planning and execution of events, ensuring partners feel welcomed, valued, and meaningfully connected to CHCI’s work.

Maria earned her Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a focus on Early Childhood Education and Psychology, from Lander University, where she also went on to complete her Master of Business Administration. Her academic background has shaped her thoughtful, people-centered approach to relationship building and event coordination.

At CHCI, Maria enjoys bringing together the details that make each experience feel seamless and impactful. She is passionate about creating spaces where partners and stakeholders feel engaged and connected to the organization’s mission.
