Alejandra Garcia is a graduate student at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) pursuing a Master of Public Policy. Garcia participate in the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) Internship Program in 2018. After returning to California, Garcia secured a job with the State Assembly Committee on Appropriations. Later she served as a Legislative Aide for Assemblymember Robert Rivas where she worked on housing, labor and employment, aging, health, and local government state legislation. At UCLA, Garcia serves as a board member of the Luskin Latinx Caucus and is a candidate for the Global Public Affairs program. After graduation, Garcia hopes to continue her work in public policy at the intersection of corporate governance and global compliance
