Spring 2022 Congressional Interns
GREG JUSINO
Current Position/Organization
CHCI-Walmart Intern
Hometown: Tempe, Arizona
School: Arizona State University
Major: Political Science
Placement: The Office of Rep. Jamaal Bowman
Greg was born in the Bronx, NY, and was raised in the Capital Region of New York. His mother immigrated from Colombia in 1990, when narco-violence was at its highest, and his father was born and raised in the Bronx. Both of their distinct and challenging stories have imbued Greg with a long-lasting sense of gratitude and purpose as he joins his siblings to be the first generation of college students in their family.
Greg is currently a senior at Arizona State University studying Political Science and is minoring in Criminology, as well as Public Service and Public Policy. On his campus, he serves as the Vice President of the Pre-Law Latinx Student Association and is serving his second year as the Community Involvement Chair for his chapter of Lambda Sigma Upsilon Latino Fraternity Inc. Outside of campus, he serves as the Intern Coordinator on the Jevin Hodge for Congress campaign.
Having experienced an array of adversity, and watching his family continue to struggle has solidified Greg’s vision to work in legislation so he can devote his life to tackling the intersecting issues that cripple families nationwide.
As a CHCI Intern, Greg hopes to gain a strong foundation for a life in legislation, and learn how to channel his passion for his community into effectively incorporating the interests of the disenfranchised into U.S. law.
