Maria Ale D’agostino
Ale D’agostino was born and raised in Venezuela, an experience that deeply shaped her values, worldview, and commitment to public service. Growing up with firsthand exposure to political instability and inequality, Ale developed an early understanding of how government decisions directly affect people’s daily lives and how powerful good governance can be when it centers dignity, accountability, and opportunity.
Now based in Washington, D.C., Ale brings that lived perspective to her work and leadership. She graduated summa cum laude from George Washington University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Criminal Justice, where she honed her passion for policy, justice, and institutional reform. She is known for her ability to translate complex issues into human- centered solutions and for grounding policy debates in real-world impact.
Ale currently serves as a Senior Legislative Assistant, supporting work on environmental justice, conservation, broadband access, and emerging technology. She is especially committed to elevating the voices of communities that are too often overlooked, including those facing pollution, public health disparities, and infrastructure gaps. In her free time, Ale loves running and is currently training for her third marathon.
