2026 Latino Hill Staff Academy
Adriana Diaz
Adriana Diaz comes from a Puerto Rican and Venezuelan household, and was born and raised in
Tampa, Florida. She currently serves as a Staff Assistant but began her Hill career as a Congressional intern, where she was drawn to the impact of public service and the fast-paced behind-the-scenes work that goes into shaping policy.
Adriana earned her Bachelor of Science degree in International Affairs with a minor in Political
Science from Florida State University in the state’s capitol of Tallahassee. Through her own
personal experience and a strong educational foundation in government relations, she developed
a deep appreciation for the role that lawmakers play in representing and strengthening their
communities.
As a junior staffer, Adriana enjoys learning the many moving parts of a congressional office. She has gained experience in legislation, communications, and operations, and is currently pursuing a path in operations. She is grateful for the opportunity to contribute across each area and better understand how they work together to serve constituents. Some of her favorite memories include last-minute staffing for press conferences and unexpected hallway run-ins with her political role models—moments her family now jokingly believes mean she knows them all personally. Outside of work, Adriana loves to spend time with her friends and family, read, sing, and explore DC’s never-ending restaurant scene.
