Juan Becerra was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles County and is the proud son of Mexican immigrants. He recently graduated from Los Angeles Pierce College, a community college.
Juan studies Political Science and is passionate about the policy areas of immigration, healthcare, and environmental justice. After completing his undergraduate education, Juan plans on attending graduate school and pursuing a career in public service. He aspires to run for elected federal office to improve circumstances within the communities that raised him, and to enact positive change on a large scale.
As a CHCI Intern, Juan hopes to learn how to become a stronger advocate for his community by gaining a strong knowledge of the federal legislative process. He hopes to use this experience to inspire his family, friends, and community members to continue in the fight for social justice.
