Lowis Sanchez
Lowis Sanchez is a rising public policy professional with federal and state experience. A proud native of Lawrence, Massachusetts, he is a first generation Dominican-American currently serving as a Legislative Correspondent.
His introduction to public policy began with internships at the National Immigration Forum and MIT’s Washington Office. These opportunities deepened his understanding of legislative advocacy and the impact it can have on shaping federal policy.
After earning his Bachelor’s in Political Science and Global Studies with a concentration in foreign affairs at Providence College, he initiated his public service as a Special Assistant for Rhode Island Lieutenant Governor Sabina Matos. From there, he transitioned to Washington, D.C. to serve as a Staff Assistant under U.S. Senator Edward J. Markey. Driven by his roots, he seeks to strengthen U.S. relations with Latin America and the Caribbean through mutually beneficial engagement and cooperation. In his free time he enjoys cooking, listening to reggaeton, and cheering on the Red Sox.
