Having lived in three very distinct places across his life, Michael has grown to understand and cherish the vast diversity of the United States of America. As the grandson of individuals who fled tyranny in the Dominican Republic, Michael has always held dear the principle of giving back to one’s country through public service.
Michael is currently a junior at The George Washington University majoring in Political Science. Upon obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree, Michael hopes to obtain a Juris Doctor degree and ultimately become a corporate attorney. His ultimate career goal is to one day run for political office back home in Georgia, and do his part to serve his community, either locally, statewide, or federally.
As a CHCI Intern, Michael aims to strengthen his knowledge of the legislative process, as well as gain insight on countless issues ranging from social policy to international affairs. He hopes to use this experience to help serve his country, and make a difference in the lives of others.
