Sarai Ferres

Sarai Ferres is a low-income and first generation student and currently lives in Miami Gardens, Florida with her mom. She is part of the Miami Gardens police explorers where she is able to further her knowledge on law enforcement and enhance her discipline. She also serves as the Social Justice Liaison for the school district in which she represents over 300,000 students. She is very active in her church and works with kids as their Sunday school teacher. Through the NextGen program Sarai had the opportunity to learn more about diversified communities and how to be an active member in her community. She aspires to continue helping people by becoming a forensic psychologist.
