Associate Manager, Congressional Internship Program
Andrea Cano is the Associate Manager for the Congressional Internship Program (CIP), where she is responsible for managing daily operations, including intern mentorship, program support, and development.
During her undergraduate studies at Georgetown University, Andrea actively participated in and facilitated youth leadership programs. She also engaged with various multicultural local organizations and nonprofits that support communities of color in Washington, D.C. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service, Andrea served as an Associate Researcher with Georgetown’s Study of International Migration, where she focused on immigration research.
As an immigrant and first-generation college graduate, Andrea is deeply committed to CHCI’s mission and strives to contribute to its continued growth. In her leisure time, she enjoys traveling, exploring museums, hiking, and engaging in creative pursuits, while actively pursuing a master’s degree in International Migration and Refugee Studies.
