Vice President, Communications
Berenice Bonilla Cortés is CHCI’s Vice President of Communications. She is responsible for the development, integration, and implementation of organizational strategies for engaging external audiences and stakeholders.
Formerly, Berenice held the role of Vice President of Communications at Prosperity Now, and prior to that, she served as Managing Director of Communications at the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights. She is also the founder of Bérica Agency for Purposeful Branding.
Passionate about gender equity and women’s leadership, Berenice is an alumna of the Women’s Media Center Progressive Voices program and Mujeres de HACE. Currently engaged as a small business mentor for Empowering Women International and a National Engagement Board member for the Prospanica Center for Social Justice, she is committed to maximizing the power of communications to advance positive social change.
Berenice is a proud alumna of Syracuse University and the University of Southern California, holding a Master of Communication Management from the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.
