Guillermo is the Director of Learning and Innovation at CHCI, where he continuously uses best practices to enhance participants’ experiences and skills. As a previous Clinical Assistant Professor and Director of TRIO Talent Search, his work in higher education focused on equity and access for first generation students, limited income students, and students of color. His work has been recognized at various local, state, and national conferences, where he has presented on topics such as student programming/development, employee engagement, and transformational leadership through emotional intelligence and growth mindset.

He attributes much of his drive from his own background as an alumni of TRIO Student Support Services, College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) and CHCI. As the son of migrant farm workers, and growing up in rural Idaho, he hopes to continue inspiring other Latino leaders.
