Adrian Ramirez is a first generation Mexican American, born and raised in Santa Ana, California. His city’s cultural diversity has allowed him to feel close to his culture while simultaneously appreciating others. As a student, Adrian seeks to make both his Hispanic and Santa Ana community proud. Serving as co-president of his school’s National Honor Society, participating in academic enrichment programs, and involved within community-oriented clubs such as the California Scholarship Federation, Adrian seeks to set an example for future generations. As a participant of CHCI NextGen, Adrian’s desire to serve his community only deepened. From CHCI NextGen, Adrian learned how to spark and lead change, from both the hands-on activities and examples set from past leaders. Adrian hopes to pursue a degree in English and political science before pursuing his Juris Doctor (JD), planning to better serve his community as a lawyer, and perhaps, in legislation.
